The benefits
Continuous visual monitoring
Captures your material flow on the conveyor belt 24/7. No manual sampling needed.
AI analysis on site
The AI evaluates several quality criteria based on visual characteristics and turns raw images into structured insights.
Reliable decision support
The AI acts as a consultant. It informs your team but does not control, override or influence existing safety functions.
Easy to retrofit
Installed above existing conveyor belts with minimal requirements, set up by UpCircle together with your team.
Runs alongside your plant
Live in the UpCircle dashboard
Monitor and review the material input in the browser-based dashboard with the MaterialFlow module at analytics.upcircle.ai.
Connects independently
Runs via your Ethernet or the mobile network (SIM), independent of your IT and without touching existing plant control systems.
Remote maintenance included
UpCircle monitors, maintains and updates the system remotely, so you don't have to.
Mounted above the conveyor
Installed above the feeding conveyor, ideally on a 3 m section, with the sensor about 1.5 m above the material flow. Indoors or outdoors, single or double conveyor.

Frequently asked questions
What does UpCircle™ Station measure?
It continuously captures the material flow on the feeding conveyor and analyzes composition, volume, brown paper share and further quality criteria based on optical characteristics.
Does the Station interfere with our plant control?
No. The AI acts as a consultant: it informs your team but does not control, override or influence existing safety functions or plant control systems.
What are the installation requirements?
The sensor unit is mounted above the existing feeding conveyor, ideally on a 3 m section with the sensor about 1.5 m above the material flow. It needs 230 V, 50 Hz and draws about 0.5 kW. Indoor, outdoor and double-conveyor installations are possible.
How do the results reach our team?
Via Ethernet or the mobile network, independent of your IT. Line managers see the results in the MaterialFlow module of the UpCircle dashboard. Remote maintenance by UpCircle is included.
