We are seeking a talented engineering interns to join our team and to actively contribute to the development of innovative solutions for recycling analytics. The ideal candidate will be highly-motivated, eager to work on a deep-tech topic with large environmental impact, capable of working autonomously and in small teams, and have a strong desire to solve exciting and challenging applied problems. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to deploy AI-powered applications that drive operational improvements and promote sustainable practices in recycling.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms for analyzing recycling data, including image recognition, data science, and predictive analytics.
Be part of cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business objectives, and translate them into technical solutions.
Design and optimize data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, and storage of large-scale recycling datasets.
Evaluate and experiment with different machine learning techniques to improve model performance and accuracy.
Deploy and maintain AI solutions in production, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cyber security.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and propose innovative ideas for enhancing recycling analytics.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Strong motivation and goal-oriented working attitude
Curricular and extra-curricular projects in the field of CV, ML or similar
Currently pursuing a degree (or graduated within the last six months) at a Swiss university.
Master’s level study (i.e. in robotics, computer science, mechanical engineering, design).
Experience with C++ and/or Python
Competency with linux-based systems
